Replacing plywood and timber
In a wet shed or a pen that is washed down regularly, plywood and timber swell, rot and are attacked by pests, so they need repainting or replacing. Stokbord does not rot, and its resistance to chemicals means it can be pressure washed and disinfected between batches of stock. Because it is non-toxic and chew resistant, it can be used where animals are in direct contact with the sheet.
Thicknesses and fabrication
One sheet size is sold in five thicknesses, so the same material covers light lining and heavier partitions. The thinnest is Agricultural Stokbord-3mm, followed by the 6mm, 9mm and 12mm sheets, and the heaviest is Agricultural Stokbord-18mm. Each has its own product page. The sheet can be fabricated to fit bespoke spaces, in new builds and in refurbishment of existing pens, stables and trailers.
Common uses
Typical applications include sheep and pig pens, poultry housing, cattle race lining and handling systems, stable partitioning and kick boards, gate sheeting, trailer lining and floors, feed troughs, grain stores and wall cladding.

Is Stokbord safe for direct contact with livestock?
The sheet is non-toxic and chew resistant, so it can be used for pen boarding, stable lining and gate sheeting where animals are in direct contact with it.
Can Stokbord be pressure washed and disinfected?
Yes. It is resistant to chemicals and pressure washing, so pens, stables and trailers lined with it can be cleaned thoroughly between batches of stock.
How does Stokbord compare with plywood or timber outdoors and in wet sheds?
Plywood and timber rot, swell and attract pests when they stay wet, and need painting or treating. Stokbord is rot proof and water, frost and insect proof, so it needs no coating or preservative.
Can the sheet be fabricated to fit an existing pen or stable?
Yes. Stokbord can be fabricated to fit bespoke spaces, so it suits refurbishment of existing buildings as well as new builds.
Which thicknesses are available?
The 2440 x 1220mm sheet is sold in five thicknesses from 3mm to 18mm. Each has its own product page, so you can compare them before ordering.
