How Are Your Delivery Costs Calculated?

Our delivery costs are calculated automatically using a clever algorithm that takes into account the items in your shopping basket and the postcode you require the items delivered to.

To get a delivery cost for your items simply type your postcode into the transportation box on the right hand side of your shopping basket screen. You can then add this delivery cost to your total quote to see your all-in cost before you proceed to checkout.

As our system works on standard pallet sizes there are some things that are worth considering. The delivery cost for 1 – 30 2.3 meter or 2.5 meter Crowd Control Barriers is the same & the cost of ordering 1 – 40 of our plastic crowd or traffic barriers is also the same. This will make the transport for fewer items more expensive per unit when compared against larger orders.

Do I Require Fencing Around My Construction Site?

Article 2.12.1 is important in the 2012 Building Decree. This article states that the construction site must be set up in such a way that:

Safety of persons and goods is guaranteed;
Nuisance for the environment is prevented;
The structure or construction part can be realized.
To meet these requirements, it is in most cases required to install construction fences around the construction site. These fences must be sufficiently high to prevent people or animals from entering the construction site. In addition, the fences must be sufficiently firm to stop falling objects.

The exact requirements for construction fences are determined by the municipality. These requirements can differ per municipality. In many cases, reference is made to the Building and Demolition Safety Directive. This directive provides additional requirements for the safety of construction sites.

In addition to the 2012 Building Decree, there are also other legislation that may apply to obliging building fences. For example, the Noise Nuisance Act may apply if the construction site is close to homes or other noise -sensitive objects. This law sets requirements for the noise level at the construction site. To limit the noise level, it may be necessary to install construction fences.

How many Fence Couplers (Clips) and Rubber Block Fence Feet will I need?

If you want to install building fences, they are normally purchased in sets as standard. This set contains a panel, two clamps and a plastic foot. However, there is a more precise way to calculate how many feet and clamps you need.

In the event that you want to connect fences in a circle, you always need an extra foot and two clamps. In the event that you install the gates in a row, you will need the same number of feet as fences, with an extra added before the end of the row.

To calculate how many clamps you need in a row, multiply the number of fences by two and then subtract two from the total. Some installers choose to use only one clamp per fence connection. We advise not to do this because this weakens the fence system. In the event that cost savings are important, it is a feasible alternative.

Example: If you need a 35 -meter fencing row, you will need 10 SED Round Top Bouw gates, 11 plastic feet and 18 clamps.
