This steel boot wash station lets up to three people clean their boots at the same time, each using a spray gun fed from the integral water feed. It stands at the entrance to site cabins, welfare units and finished buildings, so mud is washed off before anyone steps into a clean zone. Hoses, spray guns and boot brushes are included.

  • Up to 3 users at once from one water feed with compression fittings
  • Steel construction, 140kg
  • Raised anti-slip grated platform with boot brushes
  • Drain valves on both sides for emptying waste water by hand
  • 1554mm long x 530mm wide x 1080mm high

How it works

Users stand on the raised grating, scrub their boots against the brushes and rinse them with the spray guns. The water supply connects to the integral feed through compression fittings, and all three spray guns run from that single feed. Waste water is emptied by hand through the valves on either side, and the drained water can be directed to a suitable drain.

Construction and footprint

The unit is steel throughout and weighs 140kg, so it is a heavier and more rigid build than the plastic-framed 3 person boot washers often seen on sites. At 1554 x 530 x 1080mm it is narrow enough to sit along a cabin wall or beside a site gate without taking up a walkway. With a valve on each side, the unit can be drained towards whichever side suits the layout. It should be placed on firm, level ground.

The grating lifts boots clear of the wash water while they are scrubbed and rinsed. The boot brushes cover the sides and soles of work boots, including safety boots and rigger boots, so heavy mud comes off before the rinse.

Typical uses

Construction site entrances and cabin doors, welfare units and canteens, finished plots on housebuilding sites, quarries, depots and yards, and farms. It is also used at the entrance to site offices and completed buildings where footwear needs cleaning before people go inside.

How many people can use it at the same time?
Up to three. The integral water feed supplies three spray guns, so a full crew can clean boots together at the start or end of a shift.

What does it need to run?
A water supply connected to the integral feed, which has compression fittings. The connection size is not given in the specification, so confirm the hose or pipe details with the supplier before ordering.

How is the waste water emptied?
By hand, through the valves on both sides of the unit. The drained water can be directed to a suitable drain. It is not a plumbed system with a built-in outlet.

How should it be handled and positioned?
The unit weighs 140kg, so plan mechanical handling when unloading and siting it. Lifting points and fork pockets are not specified, so confirm the lifting method with the supplier. Set it on firm, level ground.

Where does it work best on site?
At the entrance to a clean zone such as a cabin, canteen, site office or finished building. The 530mm width lets it sit along a wall without blocking the route.
