EcoHoard Reusable PVC Site Hoarding System
Reusable PVC site hoarding system with interlocking 500mm boards on a 48.3mm x 3.2mm BS EN 10219-1 scaffold tube frame, held by concrete ballast. 2.4m high as standard, 3.0m on request. Used on data centres, road and rail infrastructure and defence sites.
EcoHoard is a reusable PVC site hoarding system for major projects where the perimeter line is moved, extended or re-erected between phases. Interlocking 500mm PVC boards fit onto a scaffold tube frame, and concrete ballast holds the frame in position. The standard height is 2.4m, with 3.0m available on request.
The frame is built from 48.3mm diameter x 3.2mm thick scaffold tube to BS EN 10219-1. When the hoarding comes down, the tube can go into later hoarding or be sold on, and the boards can be dismantled and fitted again on the next section of line.
- Interlocking PVC boards, 500mm wide
- Standard height 2.4m, 3.0m on request
- Scaffold tube frame, 48.3mm x 3.2mm, BS EN 10219-1
- Concrete ballast arrangement
- Additional rails, closer ballast centres and heavier blocks available for demanding lines
- Hoarding face suitable for project branding and signage
Configuration for exposed lines
Where a hoarding line sees higher loading, the frame can be set up with extra rails, ballast at closer centres and heavier blocks. This is a configuration option and not a wind rating. Hoarding is temporary works, so the layout, height and ballast for each site should be confirmed by the temporary works coordinator or designer. Graphics fixed to the face change the loading and belong in that design check.
Reuse and site waste
Timber hoarding is normally cut, fixed and scrapped at the end of the job. EcoHoard replaces it with components that are taken apart and used again, which reduces timber use and the waste tonnage leaving site. That helps projects working towards site waste targets, including those set under BREEAM, though the system itself carries no certification.
Choosing between hoarding types
EcoHoard suits long-running projects where the boundary changes. For a fully solid steel alternative, see the FlatWall On-Ground Hoarding in the same range. Mesh hoarding panel extensions and ground skirts are also listed in the HERMEQ range of site hoarding for projects that need extra height or a closed base.
Typical uses
The system is used on data centres, nuclear power plants, road and rail infrastructure and MOD sites. It also suits phased developments, utilities work and large construction sites where the hoarding line is expected to move or carry project graphics.

Are the panels steel or PVC?
The boards are interlocking PVC, sometimes called UPVC hoarding. Only the supporting frame is steel, made from scaffold tube.
Can the frame be reused after the project?
Yes. The 48.3mm x 3.2mm scaffold tube can go into later hoarding or be sold on, and the boards can be taken down and re-erected elsewhere.
Is it suitable for exposed sites?
The frame can be set up with extra rails, closer ballast centres and heavier blocks. No wind rating is given for the system, so the configuration should be confirmed by the temporary works coordinator or designer for the site.
Can graphics and signage be fixed to the boards?
Yes, the face takes project branding and signage. Graphics add to the loading on the hoarding line, so include them in the temporary works design.
How does it compare with timber hoarding?
Timber hoarding is usually scrapped when the job ends. EcoHoard is dismantled and reused, which cuts timber use and waste on site and suits lines that change between phases.
