Hessian Cloth

Hessian cloth is a woven fabric with unique thermal properties used within the construction industry. Made from the jute plant with its long bast fibre spun into coarse strong threads, which produces an open weave hessian cloth, the cloth is a cost effective and affordable material that offers versatile functionality.

With its outstanding thermal properties, the hessian cloth protects brickwork, concrete, and mortar during cold periods, ensuring they do not freeze. Whilst in summer the cloth protects cement and concrete from drying too quickly.

Due to its natural structure the cloth is breathable, biodegradable, and eco-friendly. Simply unroll and cut to size with a knife or scissors. To cover a surface with hessian, you must secure it with cable ties or weights.
