The extensions are designed to be a snug fit, so they may need a little pressure and wiggling to slide into place. As the extensions are rigid steel and the plastic barriers can vary slightly due to manufacturing and temperature, they won’t always simply drop straight in.

A small tip that works well: slide a screwdriver into one of the holes on the outside of the barrier while gently wiggling the extension down. Just make sure you lower both ends evenly, rather than pushing one side down first.

With a little adjustment, they should slide in and fit securely as intended.
