Universal Stair Guard Safety Posts - 1.5m high - are used internally to create a temporary edge protection around stairways during renovations or in new builds. HERMEQ manufacture all of our stair guards to be universal - this means they can be used as a corner post or in a straight run. Buying universal stair guard safety posts means that you do not have to stock two separate types of post & makes your kit more flexible on site.Â
HERMEQ manufacture all of these stair guard safety posts from 40 x 40 x 2.5mm square hollow section, which is welded to a 150 x 150 x 4mm base plate. Each of the stair guard safety posts is fitted with 3 slots for connecting scaffold boards to the posts, in order to complete the edge protection around the stairs.Â
Stair Guard Safety Posts are designed to create a temporary form of safety edge protection, they allow you to provide a temporary form of edge protection whilst carrying out construction or renovation works. The bases of the posts have holes in each corner, allowing them to be firmly fixed to the ground. Once the stair guard safety posts are secured in place timbers (up to 50mm wide) can then be placed into each of the posts, normally at no more than 2 meter centres. There are three sections to hold the horizontal wooden battens, one at the top, middle and bottom.
This is a cost effective way to guard against people falling around stair ways and other potentially hazardous areas. Lightweight and easy to install they are a necessity on most building projects.
