Erosion Control Techmat P500SL

TECHMAT P500SL is a polypropylene soil erosion control matting consisting of a flexible lightweight, high void ratio, three dimensional geomat obtained from extruded monofilaments tangled and welded where they cross. It provides both an effective erosion control surface and vegetative root reinforcement layer. It is a non-biodegradable mat in order to assist permanent vegetation growth.

When correctly pinned in place and filled with topsoil Techmat type P provides excellent intimate contact with the underlying soil thereby encouraging growth through the mat. As the vegetation establishes, the roots become entwined within and through the structure of the Techmat type P thereby helping to secure the vegetation and inhibit erosion of the underlying soil.
