The TurfProtecta Turf Reinforcement Mesh is used for reinforcing grassed surfaces which are sensitive to wear, rutting and smearing which leads to an impractical muddy ground surface. The lightweight Mesh Panels are typically laid in outdoor car parks, access routes and airport taxiways where there is light vehicle or pedestrian use.

We have Standard and Heavy Duty grades available in extruded black or green for ground reinforcement depending on how much protection is required for your application. Each mesh roll has been manufactured from 100% Recycled HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) and come supplied in 2m x 30m rolls.

Installation:

Both grades of our mesh are UV stablised for sunlight protection and come simple to install. Once your grass has been cut short, you must unroll the mesh and subsequently pin it to the surface using Metal U Pins or Plastic Pegs. Enabling plants to grow through the space of the mesh, the grass sward intertwines with the plastic mesh to create a more strongly reinforced surface to limit damage and reduce soil compaction.

We recommend installation be done during grass growing season to allow the TurfProtecta® mesh and the grassroots to interlock effectively. The grass will grow through the reinforcement mesh to create a stablised grass surface to provide the necessary protection withstanding pedestrians and vehicles in places such as car parks and access routes. Over time the grass can then be cut as normal and will restore its natural appearance.
